Nurse Practitioner
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across various patient populations. You will be responsible for managing a patient panel, performing assessments, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans in accordance with state regulations.
Whether you are an experienced provider or a newly graduated NP, we offer a supportive environment with robust protocols and, where legally required, strong physician collaboration to ensure you can practice at the top of your license.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical examinations.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, imaging) within the scope of practice.
Formulate differential diagnoses and establish definitive diagnoses.
Patient Management & Treatment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelines.
Prescribe medications and durable medical equipment (DME) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Perform minor procedures as needed and per credentialing.
Provide patient education regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
Collaboration & Coordination
Collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care, adhering to collaborative agreement requirements where applicable.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare facilities or specialists when necessary.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for all patient encounters.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (HIPAA, State Board of Nursing).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Licensure:
Current, unrestricted license in the state of practice (TX, FL, NY, IL, or NJ).
National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) required.
Prescriptive Authority: Eligibility for DEA registration and state-controlled substance registration.
Experience: New graduates welcome / Minimum of 1-2 years of experience preferred
Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with EHR systems.
